Essence Glow Tinted Lip Balm Review

This is going to be a short review on yet another terrible Essence product, since I don't like talking bad but this needs to be said.

As you might know a lot of brand have come out with lip glows, lipsticks that start out clear and turn into a darker version of your own lip color.

The most famous one is the Dior Addict Lip Glow for 32,95.

Then there was L'Oreal Universal Lip Glow for 14,99.

Then Catrice for 4,99.

And then aaall the way down at the bottom we have Essence for the wonderful price of 2,39.

Once I applied this I couldn't tell what was bothering me the most... the fact that it didn't create any color on my lips, or the fact that it smelled like...excuse me...urine and ammonia? It reminded of something...oh yes, their "Meteorites", a.k.a. their "Me and My Ice Cream Shimmer Pearls, oval instead of sphere shaped junk that smelled as if a diseased person had urinated in it.

After studying so much jurisprudence on the copying of other brands I find it astonishing that a make up brand can copy complete concepts and then sell it for a penny. Maybe interesting for you to know: a judge will usually accept copying if the consumer is capable of finding out the differences for himself. That's funny, I can even smell the difference!

I remember being 18 and looking forward to their new collection every week. It would be the highlight of my week after coming home from school. I couldn't afford Maybelline or Rimmel, so I had to. Now I feel sad for all the young girls who have access to so many cheap innovations that contain nothing but hazardous ingredients.

Let this be a warning, let's all stop spending our money on these screaming, loud products and let's save our money for those safer, consumer friendlier products by brands that are preferably free of animal testing as well.
