Beyonce, Jay-Z and Solange Knowles’ Infamous Elevator Met Gala Incident Turns 5 - Us Weekly Posted: 06 May 2019 12:00 AM PDT ![]() What happens in the elevator at the Met Gala, still never stays in the elevator! Beyoncé, Jay-Z and Solange Knowles' infamous argument at the fashion fundraising benefit went down five years ago. Back in May 2014, the famous family made headlines when footage surfaced of the 49-year-old rapper arguing with his 32-year-old sister-in-law in the elevator at the Standard Hotel in New York City during a Met Gala afterparty. In the surveillance video from the incident, Solange hit and kicked Jay-Z while Beyoncé, 37, silently stood by. Days after TMZ shared the shocking footage, the trio released a statement, explaining that they "worked through" the drama privately as a family. "Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public," the statement read. "They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family." It would be three more years before Jay-Z addressed the incident again. He spoke about the situation during a candid interview with "Rap Radar" podcast in August 2017. "We had one disagreement ever. Before and after we've been cool," Jay-Z explained at the time. "She's like my sister. I will protect her. That's my sister, not my sister-in-law. My sister. Period. … We've always had a great relationship." He added: "I fought my brothers and argued with my brothers my whole life. It just so happens, who we are, these things go into a different space. But it ain't nothing." Nearly a year later, the couple seemingly made a reference to the heated altercation when they descended onto the stage in an elevator on the first night of their On the Run II tour in Cardiff, England. Jay-Z, Beyoncé and Solange never confirmed what caused the elevator fight heard (and seen) around the world. While it was long-rumored that the Roc Nation founder flirting with Rachel Roy set Solange off, the designer denied claims that she had a relationship with Jay-Z following the release of Beyoncé's Lemonade, which also referenced her husband's alleged affair. Beyonce gave birth to Solange as a teen and is actually 44, according to wild theory - Mirror Online Posted: 11 May 2019 12:00 AM PDT Beyonce gave birth to Solange as a teen and is actually 45, according to a wild conspiracy theory. The claims, which have been circulated online, suggest the singer fell pregnant as a young teenager and the baby was raised by her parents as her sister. In a bid to explain the strange theory, it's claimed that Beyonce is actually seven years older than she claims to be. Her given date of birth is September 4th, 1981 - meaning she would have been too young to have given birth to Solange, who is 32 and was born in 1986. However, the theory suggests Beyonce has rolled back the clock on her age and was actually born in 1974 - making her 44. It would mean Beyonce would have been pregnant at 12 or 13. The rumour is believed to have been started by an online post from someone who claimed to have spent four years working at Beyonce's Columbia record label. ![]() ![]() They shared an in-depth of the unfounded age-change rumours, and claiming Beyonce's cousin confirmed Solance was actually the singer's daughter. The post stated: "Beyonce's precise birthdate is 9/4/1974. "I saw a picture of her driver's licence that was on my manager's computer once don't ask how. "Beyonce and Solange are both teenage mothers, I do not know the paternity of Solange." The poster goes on to explain where she heard the baby story, writing: "I have heard many crazy things while working at Columbia for four years. ![]() "The Beyonce stuff a close relative of hers told me so I am more prone to believe that.. "Bee's cousin told me Beyonce's daughter is Solange and she said it to me in confidence after the topic of teenage pregnancies came up. "She is not the sarcastic type either so I doubt she would make something up that is so scandalous about her own cousin." If the story was true, it would make Beyonce a grandmother as Solange gave birth to a son, Daniel, when she was 18. ![]() The theory has done the rounds online and many believe they've found proof that Beyonce is lying about her age. It stems from an interview given by actress Gabrielle Union, who claimed that she and Beyonce have been friends "since we were teenagers". Gabrielle is 46 and was born in 1972 - so it's impossible for her to have been a teenager at the same time as Beyonce if the singer was born in 1981 as she claims. Do you have a story to sell? Drunk girl, 16, raped by man, 34, at Beyonce concert in Cardiff, court hears - Daily Mail Posted: 21 May 2019 09:43 AM PDT ![]() Peter Fox (pictured outside Merthyr Crown Court in Wales) is accused of raping a teenage girl after she got drunk at a Beyonce concert in Cardiff A teenage girl was raped after getting 'extremely drunk' in a VIP lounge at a Beyonce concert on a school night, a court heard. The schoolgirl, 16, got separated from a friend after the show at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium and was chatted up by Peter Fox, 34, in a bar. Fox is accused of taking the drunken girl home to have sex before 'he got bored and went to sleep'. The court heard the girl was still drunk when she arrived at school the next morning and teachers refused to let her sit one of her GCSE exams. She jumped at the chance of seeing her idol Beyonce at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium during her exams on June 6 last year. Prosecutor Roger Griffiths told the jury: 'A boy she knew rang saying he had two VIP tickets for the concert. 'They met up in a pub where she had a gin and lemonade. She was in VIP area 65 during the concert and had five or six vodka and lemonades. 'After the show she and the boy went to a bar where she had more to drink and became separated from her friend. 'She was approached by Peter Fox who asked if the boy was her boyfriend.' Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court heard Fox and the girl got into a taxi together but she only had £5 which wasn't enough to pay for her 20-mile journey home. She got out out of the taxi with Fox on the outskirts of Cardiff and went with him into his home. Mr Griffiths said: 'She recalls going through a blue door, the next thing she can remember was that her trousers were on the floor and a man was on top of her. 'She was extremely drunk but did not consent to having sex.' ![]() Beyonce is pictured performing at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on June 6 last year when the alleged rape took place The girl left the house and rang the doorbell of a neighbour who called her father to collect her in the early hours of the morning. Mr Griffiths said: 'The next morning she went to school but, such was her drunken state, the teachers refused to let her sit a GCSE examination. 'After prompting from her older sister she said she had been raped.' The court heard Fox was arrested and initially denied taking the girl home and having sex with her. But the jury was told he later admitted having sex with her but claimed it was with consent. Mr Griffiths told the court: 'He said he got bored and went to sleep. The Crown say she was too drink to consent to sex.' Fox, of Cardiff, denies rape and the trial continues. ![]() Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court (pictured) heard Fox took the girl home for sex but then 'got bored and went to sleep' |
This Is How Much Money Beyoncé Is Getting Ready to Make From Netflix - The Cheat Sheet Posted: 24 Apr 2019 12:00 AM PDT ![]() When it comes to pop superstars, few can compete with the power and influence of Beyoncé. The former Destiny's Child front-woman and mother of three ranks second in all-time Grammy wins and holds the record for the most nominations, with a staggering 63 nods. She has sold millions of albums worldwide and has a huge and loyal fanbase. With the recent birth of her twins, Queen Bee has been a little quiet. But the release of the Netflix documentary Homecoming and a new album has fired up the beyhive. 'Homecoming' gives fans a rare behind the scenes lookEarlier this year, Beyoncé and Netflix announced that the singer would be releasing a new documentary based on her headlining event at Coachella in 2018. The film, titled Homecoming was released exclusively on Netflix on April 17. While Homecoming showed a lot of behind the scenes footage of the event, Bey gave her fans a little insight about her personal life as well (as well as releasing a surprise 40-track album the day Homecoming was released). The singer revealed that she was originally scheduled to headline Coachella in 2017. That changed when Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z found out they were expecting. Later, the couple found out that they were having not just one baby, but two babies. Not one to shy away from a challenge, Beyoncé agreed to do Coachella in 2018. This meant she had just a few months to prepare for the show. The singer admitted that the months following her delivery were extremely hard on her physically and mentally – there were days where she wasn't sure how she was going to make it. In addition to recovery, the new mom pushed herself to get back into performance shape. This meant extreme diet and exercise. Beyoncé shared her diet which eliminated fish, meat, dairy, carbs, and sugar. She said it was an extremely difficult time and not something she would put herself through again. Beyoncé made history with her Coachella performanceIn 2018, Beyoncé became the first black woman to headline Coachella. The distinction was not something the singer took lightly. Bey took the opportunity to honor historically black colleges and universities by bringing singers, dancers, and musicians from these schools to join her on stage. The singer also invited her sister Solange and husband Jay-Z to perform at the event with her. Beyoncé created a historic and memorable experience at Coachella. So much so that the event is now deemed as "Baychella" by fans. In Homecoming, Beyoncé highlights the experience and the struggle of the black men and women who were represented by the group that she chose to join her on stage. Homecoming only continued to give fans a deeper appreciation of her work, her performance, and of the people who worked so hard to make the event happen. How much is Beyoncé's new Netflix deal worth? If you didn't get enough Bey from Homecoming, don't worry, you're in luck. Variety is reporting that Beyoncé and Netflix signed a $60 million deal for the singer to create three projects with the streaming giant. Beyoncé was paid $20 million for Homecoming, the first project in the deal. As of now, there is no information about what the other two projects entail or when they will be released. E! News recently discussed what they hope to see from the deal, noting they would love to see a deeper look into the singer's personal life as well as a documentary about causes that the couple is passionate about. We can't say we disagree with those choices and will be anxiously awaiting what's next. |
5 People Having A Worse Monday Than You. - Someecards News Posted: 20 May 2019 12:41 PM PDT Advertising 5. Emilia Clarke, because she's ruined in the eyes of Beyoncé.![]() "I'm sorry. I can't. Don't hate me." Shutterstock *SPOILERS WITHIN! IF YOU DON'T WANT GAME OF THRONES SPOILERS, TURN OFF YOUR WIFI IMMEDIATELY!* Freed from the shackles of spoiler warnings, Emilia Clarke gave an interview to The New Yorker in which she expressed her struggle with Daenerys's devolution to mass murderer. One thing she is particularly anxious about is how Beyoncé, khaleesi of her own khalasar known as the Beyhive, will feel about Clarke as a person having delivered some terrifying blows. Clarke met Queen Bey at an Oscar party that Beyoncé and Jay-Z hosted, and was approached by the Homecoming queen. Beyoncé said to Clarke, "Oh, my goodness, it's so wonderful to meet you. I think you're brilliant," and Clarke sadly had to hold in what she was desperate to say. "All I wanted to scream was 'Please, please still like me even though my character turns into a mass-killing dictator! Please still think that I'm representing women in a really fabulous way," she told The New Yorker. Advertising Stars: they're just like us! They don't want to disappoint Beyoncé! Clarke is likely taking a cue from showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss and staying far away from the internet. She told Entertainment Weekly that she has a hard time distancing herself from her character, which is going to be a nightmare now that she's been declared the Angel of Death. As difficult as it is for you to watch someone you look up to go from mass-killing slavers to mass-killing an entire city of innocents, it was even more difficult for Clarke, who had to live in her head and share her face. Advertising At the end of the day (and the series), Clarke told EW that she stands by her character. "I stand by Daenerys. I stand by her! I can't not," she said. Then again, that's what Jon Snow told Tyrion until the Throne Room. 4. David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, because the consensus is that they suck.![]() *hello darkness my old friend* HBO The Game of Thrones finale was always going to piss people off. The nature of the show is that it's makes polarizing storytelling choices, but iconic moments like Ned Stark's beheading and the Red Wedding always made logical sense, hammering home the theme that actions have consequences. Advertising By choosing to make season eight only six episodes long, Benioff and Weiss jumped the show into hyperspace, and the whiplash-inducing twists seemed to be lacking the connective tissue that makes stories satisfying, and as Tyrion himself said, stories are the most important things in the world! Fans have called the showrunners the true Game of Thrones villains for how they decided to wrap things up, and critics agree. The episode is rotten on Rotten Tomatoes, and people are saying that Benioff and Weiss killed George R. R. Martin's universe like Jon killed Dany and Dany killed King's Landing. Advertising ![]() The Telegraph called it "a dagger in the gut of a once-great series." Time Magazine said "The kindest thing I can say about the Games of Thrones series finale is that it might have satisfied Plato." The Atlantic wrote, "Rather than honoring the complication and tough rules that made Thrones's world so strangely lovable, Benioff and Weiss waved a wand and zapped away tension and consequence." You'd think that the people behind Tywin Lannister's speeches would have been a little bit more concerned about their legacy. Advertising 3. Shutterstock Advertising Game of Thrones' anointment of King Perpetual Acid Trip and his council's Seinfeldian discussion of brothel infrastructure was a hilariously stupid ending to a prestige drama, but Westeros's antics have nothing on the hilarious stupidity of real life. Nigel Farage, the Brexit hype man famous for racist demagoguery and a face as rubbery as Mr. Bean's, got a milkshake poured on him by a protester and it's a laugh and a half. Advertising Will taxpayers have to pick up the drycleaning bill? The act of "milkshaking" is sweeping the United Kingdom like Beatlemania, and Scottish police are trying to put an end to it by cutting off protestors' supply.
